Fast Built and Designed Microdevices for Early-Stage Liquid-Liquid System Studies
Abstract
A comparison of two different microdevices, which are able to produce oil-inwater droplets without wall treatment or the presence of surfactant, is presented. A quick technique to build capillary assembled devices and a process for siliconglass microdevices are explained. The aim of this work is to compare these devices in terms of droplet generation and to show that the capillary assembled device can be used for preliminary tests in droplet generation as a precursor for making the silicon-glass microdevices.
